Port Elizabeth-based MICB specialises in all disciplines of the Automotive Production Development Programme (APDP), as well as assisting clients to recover import duties under the 5th Schedule of the Customs and Excise Act.  Other services offered to the motor industry include SARS customs registrations, tariff revisions and more.

North-West University registered two of their professors for a two-year export practice course in the late 1980s and subsequently introduced export subjects into their BCom and BCom (Hons) degree programmes. Approximately fifteen years ago, the university’s School of Economics entered into a licensing agreement with ITRISA enabling the use of ITRISA material in these programmes.

TRADE Advisory was formally registered in March 2016 as the consultancy arm of the TRADE research entity at North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus.  The company focuses on commercial and project-based initiatives in the areas of economic development and business optimisation.
